Aalesund surprised me a bit after the bad season start. Well, they have lost their first two meetings against Fredrikstad and Vålerenga (best attacker Phillips don’t played against VIF due to international game) but then they improved a lot and they beat Haugesund, Sogndal and IK Start and they played a draw with Odd Grenland away from home. When I take into account their performance at home I must say Strømsgodset has not serious chance to take point here. Aalesund totally deserved all points against Haugesund and Sogndal, they dominated almost during the full match. They played NM Cup game last midweek away from home, they beat Tornado Måløy by 5-0 with slightly reservist line-up, Jalasto, Parr, Morrison and Phillips have rested. Maybe it’s important, Okoronkwo, Post, Fuhre and Sellin also scored goal, they are not too experienced attackers and/or they haven’t got so good skills like Phillips - who plays in top form this season - but it could be good for their self-confidence and they can prove in Tippeligaen, too.

We know Strømsgodset as strong home team but nothing special away from home, sometimes good performance but usually they can not reach good results. They have played two away games this season, 1-5 against IK Start (true that goalkeeper Larsen received a red card in the 8th min) and they beat Viking (1-0 with a bit lucky in a boring match). Strømsgodset also played in NM Cup and they beat Birkebeineren by 2-1 with strong line-up.

Both teams can use their best starting eleven, don’t have important missing, I really believe that AFK will win this game against traditionally poor travellers SIF.
